Dave Bamdas of Riva Motorsports contacted me recently to tell me about an exciting event they’re planning for April 30 – May 2, 2010 — the South Florida PWC & Sportboat Show.

What several in the industry have already dubbed “The Miami Boat Show…For the PWC Industry,” the three-day weekend is scheduled to include demo rides from Sea-Doo and Yamaha, as well as potentially Kawasaki and Honda. Also present will be booths with product from Riva Racing Parts & Accessories, Slippery Wet Suits, Wamilton’s Customs, Exotic Signs, Continental Trailers, Triton Trailers, Sport Port floating dock systems, Admiral Boat Lift, Progressive Insurance, various financing vendors, the South Florida PWC Club, LTS Wakeboard School, Brownie’s PWC Dive System, and the Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Events and seminars planned for the week include the Sea-Doo iControl Experience at Riva Lake, a Watercraft Safety Seminar by the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and Watercraft Performance 101, Watercraft Service and Maintenance, and Custom Performance Racecraft Display, all by Riva.

Additional happenings include food and drink vendors, local pro sports team cheerleaders, a Riva prize tend with giveaways, prize wheel, and Yamaha Money Booth, and local radio remotes with on-air personalities.

There’s a lot of industry buzz already building about this event. I’ll have further updates as they become available.
