As an example, I just received word from Athens Yachts that the 100-foot Falcon motoryacht AK is offering a nearly 30-percent price break for charters between April 1 and May 30 in Greece.

Regularly, the yacht’s weekly base rate is €49,000. With the pre-season discount, the weekly base rate is €35,000.

Further, the company says that Americans who take advantage of the deal will enjoy a euro-to-dollar exchange rate of 1.3. That’s true no matter what the value of the euro does between the time you sign your contract and the date when you embark on your charter.

AK, which was built in 2002, takes 10 guests with five crew. You can see complete specifications as well as interior photographs at this page on the Athens Yachts website, or contact any reputable charter broker for further information or to schedule a vacation.
