Apparently, summer is here. Or at least, the summer “season” is officially getting underway. A multitude of top-level events are happening this weekend, spanning both coasts.

Looking for a little something to spice up your weekend? Here are a few suggestions…

The South Florida PWC & Sport Boat Show, Pompano Beach, FL — As I’ve already stated, this promises to be a big event for those in South Florida. Riva Motorsports has put together a PWC and Sportboat-specific boat show that includes demos, vendors, food, entertainment, even seminars on a variety of PWC-related topics. HYDRO-TURF APBA Watercross National Tour, Parker, AZ — The U.S. National Tour gets underway in Parker at the Bluewater Resort & Casino. The event will be the only west-coast national tour stop in 2010, and the racing promises to be intense. For more information, www.apbaracing.com.

Wake Games, Orlando, FL — Wakeboarding action kicks off this weekend in O-Town at the Orlando Watersports Complex (OWC). The Wake Games is the first event of eight on the King of Wake series, and riders will be ready to show what they’ve been working on all winter long. For more information, www.allisports.com.

Geographically challenged? Just get out and ride. It’s time to leave winter behind…
