Koehler Urges Higher Gas Prices

Keeping on with the ethanol theme, I got an email from BoatUS today discussing the problems with the EPA’s possible approval of E15 gasoline. Here is the link featuring the BoatUs position on E15. You already know mine. (If not, I think it’s a sham.)

The email brought my attention to an organization both BoatUs and the National Marine Manufacturer’s Association support. It’s called Follow The Science and it’s urging the current administration to reject E15 until studies prove its validity.

I support that 100 percent, for reasons beyond why it might be bad for boats. It’s just bad. Bad for food production, and particularly bad for the environment.

Check out Follow The Science and help keep E15 out of the pumps.
