Well, you’re actually too late. This 93-year old flying wooden boat sold for $506,000 at auction yesterday, according to the New York Times.

I meant to post about this yesterday in case you were in the market, but at least you can read about it after the fact.

I for one am extremely pro-flying boat and would like to see more modern flying boat applications. Couldn’t you make a lightweight model with cold molding or a composite fiberglass via resin infusion? Let’s make it happen.
