At 6′ 5″ and 385 pounds, 2006 World’s Strongest Man Phil Pfister is one big dude. But too big to barefoot? Evidently not when legendary ‘footer Lane Bowers is your instructor. Already an avid PWC enthusiast, Pfister originally contacted Bowers to get a beefed-up wakeboard tower for his boat so he could learn to wakeboard. Instead, Bowers convinced him to come down to Florida and learn to ski on his own two feet.
Bowers stuffed a XXXL barefoot suit with 500 pounds of Fat Sacs for over two days to get it to fit the massive Pfister. Then he took him out on the water, and with Pfister having absolutely no previous water ski experience, got him up and barefooting.
Big dudes sure put up a lot of spray…
