Eric Lagopoulos had a huge day at the opening round of the UWP IJSBA National Tour in Panama City Beach, Florida, sweeping the Pro Open, Pro Stock, and Pro 800 runabout classes. Lagopoulos chose to ride a stock Sea-Doo RXP-X in the Open class, even though much of the field was on more highly modified machines.

“The water conditions were really rough,” explained Lagopoulos of the decision. “The RXP-X worked perfect … as I always felt in complete control, knowing exactly what the PWC was going to do. I was able to focus on going as fast I could, which was key to winning today.”

Lagopoulos collected $2500 for the day, as well as a $460 bonus from Sea-Doo’s X-Team Bounty program.

“Winning all three Pro runabout classes, collecting a big purse, and earning Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty money is a dream race day.”
