Chris MacClugage and his Yamaha FZR already dominated Rounds 1 and 2 of the APBA Watercross National Tour, held in Parker, Arizona. Now, that tour is ready to hit the road for the remainder of the summer months, leaving the west coast behind as racers take on the Atlantic surf, the Great Lakes, and some choice waterways in the U.S. and beyond.
Racers head to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for Rounds 3-4 on the weekend of June 5-6th. Next, it’s off to Harbor Beach, Michigan on July 10-11th, followed by Belle River, Canada on July 17-18th. After that it’s back to Virginia Beach, Virginia on August 7-8th, followed by the APBA Hydro-Turf Watercross Nationals on September 3-5th in Nashville, Tennessee. According to organizers, the Canadian stop promises to have a purse in excess of $30,000, making it the largest cash purse in National Tour history.
