The recent parade of discount offers continues today with a trifecta of announcements from management firm Edmiston and Company–and for prime months in the Western Mediterranean aboard serious charter yachts that have earned good reviews at recent boat shows, no less.
First up is the 144-foot Feadship motoryacht Kingfisher, which is trying to book 10-day charters during the month of August. The owner is offering a 10-day base rate of $145,000 versus the yacht’s regular 10-day rate of $180,000. That’s a 20-percent discount. You have to book by July 10, and your charter dates must be in August.
Second today from Edmiston is news that the 169-foot Alloy sailing yacht Mondango (whose main salon is shown in the photograph above) is dropping her weekly base rate during the month of July from €200,000 to €170,000. That’s a discount of 15 percent. No booking deadlines were announced, though the offer appears to be good only for charters during the month of July.
Saving the biggest discount for last, Edmiston says the 118-foot Benetti Sail Division motoryacht Grand Cru III wants to fill a specific gap in her calendar from July 29 through August 8, traveling from Naples to Palermo. For that particular itinerary on those dates, the yacht’s owner is dropping the base rate by 30 percent, from €85,000 to €60,000.
I’ve been aboard all three of these yachts within the past few years and found each one to be good quality for its class and age range. It’s also worth noting that Grand Cru III and Mondango are just one and two years old, respectively, which makes them practically brand-new in the world of charter yachts.
Any reputable charter broker can help you book any of these three yachts at the newly announced discount rates.
