Built in Bristol, RI, Albin has been producing Down-East style cruising and fishing boats for over 30 years. Their model range runs from their classic 28 (which has nearly 1,000 hulls on the water) up to a 35-footer, plus a 45’ Command Bridge billed as an Allbin Yacht. These are rugged, no-nonsense boats, with the emphasis put on seaworthiness and smart design instead of superficial opulence and looks.
Albins are built by C&C Fiberglass components, which also builds NorthCoast boats. This is a family owned and operated company, which has over 125 boat designing, engineering, and building years of experience in its management team.
The expected Albin features of great sea keeping, wide walk around side decks, generous cockpit, well thought out use of space, and striking down east styling make this boat as popular with the cruising family as it is with the avid fisherman. This rugged boat, with its solid sea keeping qualities, deserves the excellent reputation it has carved out for itself. It can be ordered with a flybridges or without. Available in galley-down version, as a twin cabin model. The 35's cockpit is being redesign to offer better stowage a la the 35cb or 31TE with improved wells in the cockpit deck, rod racks and large lazarettes in the transom. This will be a big plus to both fishing and the cruising. The main saloon is finely finished with a spacious and open feeling. The steering station is fitted starboard-side forward of the main saloon and offers very good visibility. There is a convertible sofa to port. Down, the galley includes a double sink, large refrigerator, convection microwave, coffee maker and three-burner stove. To Starboard is a spacious head with separate shower with additional private access from the owner's cabin. The owner's cabin provides a queen size berth on center line for comfort and easy access from both sides. There is sufficient stowage in drawers and lockers. This boat is available as a single engine with keel and a skeg keel; speed range 15 knots to 22 knots, or twin engine model with the keel; speed range 22 knots to 30 knots.
