Owner lacks time to deal with this boat. If you have the time, it may be the time for you to get a great deal!
Engines: Twin low hour (2004 per survey) Yanmar 6LPA-STP six cylinder turbocharged diesels. Unfortunately, one is in a crate, disassembled after sucking in some water. It is unknown if the water was resulting from bilge pump failure, a mechanic leaving off a shield around the dripless packing box assembly, or simple operator error. The re-buildibility of the crated engine is unknown. The installed engine is believed to be in good order, however has not been tested since the boat was left at our marina, by the operator (who may have been the guy to err!).
Starter has been rebuilt and will be installed to test the engine still installed.
Each engine had less than 100 hrs. as of the last professional survey in March 2004, and the owners use indicates that the hours should be under 200 at this time. A replacement engine has been priced. Make an offer and this owner will consider all options including sale "as-is", and sale with a new engine.
Hull - The hull is the Baha Cruiser Cat 340, catamaran with port and starboard sponson hulls.
Recent work - The survey furnished by the owner, from the owners purchase in March 2004, indicates that new engines, new ZF 63A transmissions, propeller shafts renewed and extended to 1 3/4" diameter, new stainless steel V-struts, new propellors, new stainless steel rudders, fuel tank modifications, and 4 additional ( above OEM design) bilge pumps; were all installed.
Capacities - 300 gallon fuel - 2 aluminum tanks. 50 gallons water - single aluminum tank. Holding - 10 gallon poly material. (waste system is type II MSD system with 'Y' valve and macerator pump. Hot water tank - 6 gallon.
Galley - Origo 4300, 2 burner electric. Norcold DE351 dual voltage refridgerator/freezer (approx. 6 cubic foot). Galley basin sink, hot/cold pressurized water.
Electronics - Radio - ICOM M127 VHF radiotelephone
Depth - President LTD260 depth sounder
Si-Tex CVS210 color CRT dual frequency
GPS - Garmin 2010C color GPS/Chartplotter
Radar - Raymarine SL 72 LCD radar, 2 kw.
Compass - KVH Azimuth 1000 Fluxgate compass
Environmental - Dytek ST1000 seawater temp gauge
Other than the engine issues noted, the operability of the above is unknown, and all information is taken from broker notes or surveyor report.
This boat is still in production in what appears an identical form as the Baha King Cat 340. According to the manufacturer's website, the Yanmars installed should deliver a top speed of 30 -32 mph, and cruise at 26-28mph. We invite you to review the manufacturers website, from which this performance was reported: www.bahacruisers.com
