Designed by Groupe Finot the Beneteau First 285 was a hugely successful model in the late 1980's, early 1990's. With wing keel, spade rudder and tiller steering, "Wind Spirit" is a beautiful example of this really sought after First 285 model. The light, airy, good sized interior, has the teak wood finish and she has navy upholstery throughout. She has been used exclusively, on Lake Windermere, since new. Volvo 18hp inboard diesel, Eberspacher hot air heating, new cover work 2008.

Vessel powered by an inboard Volvo 2002 18hp Inboard diesel engine. reductiuon gearbox driving a stainless steel shaft and two bladed fixed propeller. Engine housed in a sound proffed compartment beneath the companionway steps. Good access for daily checks and servicing. Single lever engine control and engine start panel in cockpit.

2 x 12volt batteries (new 2009) charged from alternator & shore power supply.

Bermudan, fractional sloop with alloy spars by Selden. Stainless Steel standing rigging and Terylene running rigging. Slab reefing system for Mainsail with two reef points and roller furling system for headsail.
