Boat Description
The Seven Hundred bears the considerable weight of its historical storied reputation. Fortunately, with its solid fiberglass hull bottom, high-density foam construction, twin watercooled diesel engines, and available Anti-Rolling Gyro (ARG) system, this is a yacht capable of blasting through the tallest of seas with confidence and comfort. Featuring exclusive ARG (Anti-rolling Gyro) technology, which suppresses rolling motion and reduces rolling angle by up to 50 percent, the 700 is a battlewagon in all types of weather conditions. The deep-V hull, which set the standard for offshore excellence more than 40 years ago, coupled with the modification of the hull strakes to reduce impact at the bow of the boat, combine for a smoother ride and increased performance. With optional power, the Bertram 700 has projected cruising speeds of 35 knots.

Available as an open fly or enclosed bridge convertible, the Seven Hundred’s 270 sq. ft. cockpit and substantial midship mounted 2,008- gallon fuel tank offer a combination of maneuverability, spaciousness and range certain to please even the most demanding of captains. The open-air flybridge offers ample storage under the seating, console and cabinets, as well as an AM/FM/CD stereo and entertainment options galore including a grill, refrigerator, sink and cold-water faucet. Navigate the yacht with pride from teak helm and companion pedestals while guests relax in the forward u-shaped lounge surrounding the spacious entertainment forum. The enclosed flybridge adds stylish carpeting, a fully equipped helm station with additional controls, varnished wood paneling, a full wet bar and a DVD-equipped entertainment center to the mix.

Cabin Accommodation
The salon is filled with rich African Mahogany cabinetry and carpeting with acoustic padding silences the room and sets the stage for quiet nights spent in front of a Bose home theater system complete with 42” LCD HDTV. The 700 also features a salon layout built with storage in mind, including a dry bar, which affords space for an additional barrel chair. The optional wet bar showcases a refreshed, modern look and the dinette seating offers space five guests. With the goal of maximizing space without compromising luxury or comfort, the sofa has integrated storage compartments in the arms and an optional, built-in incliner. In the galley, under counter Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer units and Fisher & Paykel dishwasher highlight a set of first class appliances that also includes a microwave/convection oven, four-burner cooktop with full oven and trash compactor. Cherry flooring, granite countertops and frameless windows located port, starboard and aft of the salon only increase the space’s beauty. Easily accessible storage over the dinette and under the sofa provide additional space for the added rods, reels, tackle and provisions. Optional features available on the Seven Hundred include teak cockpit sole, fiberglass swim platform, cockpit fighting chair, Eskimo icemaker, mister system, 600 GPD water maker and a sleeper sofa for the enclosed flybridge.

Hull
Deck surfaces coated in non-stick Awlgrip, molded transom steps and a molded spiral staircase to the flybridge make getting about simple and safe, even in the fiercest of oceans. Frameless side windows give the yacht’s profile a streamlined look, leading to the enormous self-bailing cockpit. This spacious base of operations is adorned with mezzanine seating, freezer, storage locker, and a removable fish box complete with a macerator pump. The cockpit also includes dedicated storage for gaffs or tag and release poles providing organization when raising fish.

Staterooms
All staterooms aboard the Seven Hundred come equipped with LCD TVs, built-in digital alarm clocks and wall-to-wall carpeting. Storage is in ample supply in the master stateroom, with built-in dressers and shelves, a cedar hanging locker, port & starboard nightstands and drawer storage beneath the oversized berth. The highlight of the master stateroom are the large porthole lights on each side of the yacht that provide natural light and spectacular views of the wide open sea. These windows are an advanced product of the design and glass technology from the Advanced Yacht Technology department at Ferretti Group. Vigorously tested to hold up in Bertram-worthy weather conditions, sportfishermen can be certain the windows aren’t just aesthetically appealing, but offer the needed strength in a sportfish yacht. Each window is constructed with two layers of 1 and half-inch of tempered glass, while the surrounding perimeter is reinforced with a rigid fiberglass casing that creates seamless integration with the hull. The forward stateroom offers a queen berth, a lighted cedar hanging locker, port and starboard hullside storage shelves and upper cabinet storage. The starboard guestroom boasts large twin side-by-side berths with storage beneath, a four-drawer dresser with shelf, a cedar hanging locker, nightstand with drawer, upper hullside cabinet storage and private access to its head. Speaking of heads, even these areas were met with considerable attention from Bertram’s renowned team of designers. Exquisite countertops and teak flooring add rich, organic hues to each head, while mirrored cabinet doors add to their spacious feel. All boast expansive shower stalls with automatic sump pumps, while the master head adds dual sinks as well.
