Blackfin has long been the gold standard in tournament sport fishing boats. Being powered by a newer 3208T Caterpillar diesel increases the value. Add a tower, Lee outriggers and six swivel rod holders and you are on your way to some serious fishing. These rough water boats were built rugged with a deep vee hull and are known to have excellent sea keeping abilities. The deck space is more than adequate and you will be surprised at the roominess and comfort of the salon which boasts a great galley area. The cuddy has redone cushions, closets, and a head. Before you get too excited though, the owner readily admits that there are many minor issues you will need to be aware of. The hot water tank needs to be fixed or eliminated, the Y-valve on the toilet needs to be fixed, the bottom needs to be stripped and repainted, and the teak needs attention. The reserve tank appears to leak. The stove top switches are bad. You will find more. That being stated up front, the owner is willing to make some adjustments to the already reduced price. Please do not hesitate to call. This might just turn out to be the deal you've been waiting for. If you are handy, you will enjoy making the repairs and will benefit from the new value. Call to see this boat. We will present ALL offers to the owner. MARCH 9, 2913 OKAY GUYS....HERE IT GOES.......OWNER WANTS IT GONE.....NEW PRICE $11,300......TAKE IT AWAY!....AS IS and WHERE IS!

The Caterpillar engine was replaced in 2002 with a new remanufactured 3208 (the same kind that was removed). The new engine has 1925 hours. The Serial No. of the new engine is #75V4954. It is a single V-8 diesel, four cycle, turbo-charged engine. It is aprox. 260 HP. In October 2007 both cylinder heads were reconditioned to OEM specs. All this work was done by Hillside Machine, Inc., 302 Eastern Avenue, Malden, Mass. All the paperwork is available. In addition the owner has the Service Guide and the Parts Catalog from Caterpillar. The engine is raw water cooled and has Morse Controls at both stations. |
