At 49K you are getting a solid yacht that can take you anywhere! Around the world ? No problem, ask for the sailing blog of someone who is doing just that.

RECENT MAINTENANCE- Owners maintenance calendar showed the Perkins 4-108 was due for service. This is an example of the way this vessel has been professionally maintained. Complete engine service performed by List Marine 2/19/13

New bottom paint, thru hulls service, topsides waxed and buffed all professionally completed at KKMI 3/5/13

"Back Bay" is the Cal 39 MK II version. She is a tall rig with double spreaders, the MK II comes with the hydraulic package for the boom vang and backstay.

A Bill Lapworth Classic, she is a sought after yacht by those looking for seakindly motion and a good turn of speed. She is at home in blue water or sailing about the bay or delta.

Back Back is offered for sale by her third owner, who lovingly restored her to "back to new" in 2005 and continued professional maintenance-records available. Newer rod rigging and running rigging, engine has never missed a beat. ST60 Raymarine wind depth and speed, newer Raymarine autohelm, crisp sails and more.

The Cal 39 is a sweet sailing yacht. Most who sail her are very impressed with the helm and overall speed and balance. She is ready to go! Owner wants her sold!

Accommodations

The Cal 39 MK II interior is comfortable and spacious. The starboard quarterberth is good sized and opposite the L-shaped galley. The galley includes a two-burner stove and oven, large double sinks facing forward and a good-sized, 8-cubic-foot icebox. Interior has teak finish, the cabin is brightened with two large overhead hatches and 8 portlights, 4 opening.

The salon has a settee and table to port and sea berth settee to starboard. The nav station is to starboard and features a decent sized chart table. Tanks can be found under the settees. The head is to port just prior to entering the spacious V-berth.

Engine

The Perkins 4.108 diesel engine is original. However it has been professionally serviced every 12-18 months. The owner states," they have never had any issues/concerns with the engine, it starts every time and it has been a gem."
