Description/Condition
55+ years of modern shipbuilding experience has allowed Cantiere Navale di Pesaro, S.p.A to develope their successful Naumachos line of long range explorer yachts. CNP has recently launched 5 Naumachos 82 as of June 2009 with an additional 3 to be launched by the end of 2010 and 2 more in 2011. Open build slots allow for deliveries from late 2011 thru 2013. The first available build slot allows the owners to take delivery 9 months from the time the client committs to the project.

A small ship disguised as a yacht, the Naumachos line of yachts excell with their large cruising range of 6,000nm combined with Italian interior design style. A full displacement steel hull equipped with zero speed stablization,an optional diesel electric hybrid propulsion system, and a 'go anywhere mentality' - the Naumachos 82 has been constructed with the intention of having a minimal impact on the environment while travelling in comfort with luxury accomodations.

CNP is unique in that each yacht's interior is completely customized specifically for the individual buyer. This listing features pictures of completed Naumachos 82 models which we have successfully delivered to clients over the past few years. As you will see we have produced a variety of interior decors from contemporary & modern, to classical. Crew quarters are finished in the same quality that's found in the guest accomodations, assuring that the captain and crew also travel in comfort during extensive passages.

Large exterior decks can be configured to include lounge spaces, dining areas, an entertainment deck with full bar/BBQ/jacuzzi, while leaving plenty of room for up to a 21' tender + additional toys.

Only the best technology & navigational equipment is found in the wheelhouse which offers great visibility. Top of the line audio visual systems such as Crestron are found throughout interior, and commercial grade galley equipment finalize the Naumachos 82' as a leader in global cruising.

Note: Additional GA's, brochures and interior & exterior pictures of completed projects are available upon request.

Hybrid Propulsion System - Optional
Naumachos Becomes Hybrid

CNP Shipyard?s product diversification is the result of over 55 years of experience in high technology shipbuilding. This knowledge has been flawlessly transferred from commercial builds over to its yachting lines resulting in top pedigree and reliability, combined with Italian style.

Every yacht is customized for each specific buyer: interior design with furnishing lines & materials, machinery equipment & engines, electronics packages, even hull color. And now CNP is proud to offer the optional Hybrid Propulsion package.

Alone, with the normal propulsion package, the Naumachos line already operates with a very low consumption of 50 liters/hour while operating at 10 knots with a 6,000nm range. Adding the Hybrid Propulsion system only enhances the fuel efficiency while decreasing the carbon footprint the yacht leaves on the environment.

The Hybrid Propulsion chosen by CNP is a new generation of electrical machines and systems made by Pronaves. This system will first be installed on the Naumachos 82? being delivered in 2010. A brief description of the system is as follows:

The optional hybrid propulsion features an electrical machine coaxially mounted to the diesel motor that can function as a motor or as an electric generator. When the electrical machine is connected to the diesel motor, it receives its energy from the generator which normally furnishes energy for all of the boat's electrical services. By doing so, it adds torque and increases power to the diesel motor. The electrical machine can also work by itself, without the diesel motor, and can be used in place of APS in the event of a
breakdown or during maintenance. Furthermore, when the electrical machine is
connected to the batteries, there is sufficient energy to provide total power for multiple hours at low speed in order to navigate through environmentally sensitive marine areas where diesel power is prohibited. An interesting application of the hybrid motor is to allow the electrical machine to function as a generator during navigation. In such a way,the main diesel motor supplies propulsion as well as the electric power needed by the boat without having to use the expensive and excessive power provided by the gen set.

When the boat is at anchor, this electrical machine can act independently and replace the diesel generators to provide power and stabilization to the entire yacht with zero emissions.

The final result is an increased cruising range, with a decreased impact on the
surrounding environments. Pronaves who has developed this system is an engineering and scientific research society established for the purpose of improving naval propulsion by introducing a new generation of electrical machines and focusing on a new way to use renewable energy. The society?s research is assisted by experienced men of the sea and by the highly qualified support of the Electronic Engineering Department of the University of Rome. This department works closely with Pronaves and has an agreement for the
mutual exchange of personnel and information.

The main activity of this consortium consists of planning, constructing, and
experimenting with synchronous electrical permanent magnetic machines with high
torque and low revolutions. These machines are controlled by a newly developed power electronics that adapts itself to the requirements of navigation.

The electrical machines from Pronaves operate from a few kW to 400 kW. Within this range there is a variable torque from 2500 to 10000 Nm. This allows the machines to rotate from a few revolutions as required by the movement of the rudder and the stabilizers to hundreds of revolutions for effective propulsion.
These electrical machines are designed for direct propulsion. More than one machine can be mounted directly on the same axis and can supply as much power as needed. The machines are mounted dire

Company Mission Statement
The Naumachos is the result of a great love for the sea. A love that leaves everything else behind, in the wake of long sailing trips where it is possible to see the world from a different perspective. The sea can offer sensations that can never be truly felt on land; a voyage at sea is an experience that makes people grow, offering them the chance to discover a world that has remained unchanged for thousands of years.

And it is this spirit, dedicated to discovery, that is behind the development of the Naumachos line of Exploration Yachts that are truly one of a kind: solid and able to withstand any weather conditions, with great autonomy and able to offer luxurious on-board accommodation with every comfort.

These boats are devised to travel around the world, for living at sea while respecting the environment, in total freedom and complete safety. The philosophy behind this design is the idea of creating a comfortable floating home that will stand up to extreme conditions at sea.

Every yacht can be customised as far as the choices of furnishing lines and materials, equipment, motors, electronics and hull color are concerned. The Naumachos 82 allows even the less experienced sailor to enjoy the pleasure of navigation, and to savour it to the fullest. It is in strong winds and with a choppy sea that this boat is best appreciated, thanks to excellent weight distribution and a wide beam that not only means stability, but also allows particularly accommodating interiors with large volumes. Moreover, the Naumachos 82 has two anti-rolling fins along the bottom to assure a smooth ride even in the worst coditios.

The shipyard offers two basic versions: the Cruiser and the Charter.

Just a short sailing trip is all you need to fully understand the ethos of this yacht. A displacement boat with great autonomy, able to cross the Pacific or Atlantic Oceans and deal with any sea conditions, guaranteeing excellent comfort to the guests on board. A design that reflects a great passion for travel and for life at sea enabled by the CNP?s fifty years old ship building experience.

Additional Information
The sea is everything.
It covers seven tenths of the terrestrial globe.
Its breath is pure and healty.
It is an immense desert, where man is never lonely,
for he feels life stirring on all sides.
