Manufacturer Info

Sailors have been enjoying practical and affordable sailboats from Catalina Yachts since 1970, when Frank Butler founded the company in Southern California. Their philosophy is to “design boats that stand up to real world conditions, sail well, are comfortable above and below, are easy to maintain and hold their value”. As the company exceeds four decades in the business, it’s clear they’ve been delivering on that promise through all the ups and downs in the industry. Chief designer Gerry Douglas struck a chord recently with the 5 Series, which is a completely new design concept that includes four models from 31 to 44 feet. These boats are durable and fast sailors, are well organized, feature the large signature Catalina cockpit, and offer features that emphasize safety like lifelines that are for more than just decoration.

Boat Description

The Catalina 250 is available as a water ballast or wing keel boat. The wing keel model offers the increased stability and tracking afforded by a lead keel. Removal of the centerboard trunk allows 5 additional inches of headroom in the cabin. Quality hardware and finish are just some of the features that make the 250 the leader in her class. The water ballast model incorporates the best features of a trailerable, water ballast boat with Catalina's renown comfortable interior and big boat cockpit. Quality hardware and finish are just some of the features that make the 250 the leader in her class.
