The Catalina 36 markll has all the important characteristics that made the original the most popular thirty-six foot sail boat in the world.The new Catalina 36 mkII is built in the same sea kindly moderate displacement hull that tracks surely and performs well in a variety of conditions. The deck is the classic trunk cabin configuration designed by sailors,not stylists,so it's proven,comfortable and functional. The 36 is the evolution of this successful design and incorporates the refinement that is possible only after building over 2,700 36's and listening carefully to owners comments and suggestions.

Beginning at the bow there is a forward stateroom with a nice sized V-berth and hanging locker and storage to starboard. Immediately aft and to port is a very nice and roomy head. Further aft is the spacious main salon. The dinette table drops down to join the settee on the port side, making a large double berth. There are two seats on the starboard side with a table in between. This also drops down to make a single long berth. Aft of the settee is the Navigation Station. Continuing aft on the starboard side is the aft stateroom with a large athwartship double berth and storage compartments. Excellent headroom, natural light and ventilation makes for a very comfortable setting. Full "U" Galley is adjacent to port with plenty of storage space. Located next to the companionway, the galley is convenient to the salon and the cockpit.
