Description/Condition

BLUE LOBSTER is a well-equipped 30´ Catalina Tall Rig Sloop, with a varnished interior, and many recent upgrades including a new 2009 genoa, and new 2009 Horizon instruments. This present owner, believed to be the fifth owner, has primarily sailed BLUE LOBSTER as a daysailer. She is an above average vessel and shows well.




VESSEL DETAILS

HULL & DECK:

  • White hull, blue boot stripe, blue bottom.
  • Fin keel with skeg-hung rudder.
  • Double lifelines.
  • Double S/S bow rail and stern rail.
  • Nicro solar vent on forward hatch.
  • 5 Bomar hatches; 2 opening ports and 6 non-opening portlights.
  • Teak anchor platform with roller chock.
  • Bottom had been peeled and coated with Interlux Epoxy Barriercoat 2000.
  • Edson 30” S/S wheel on pedestal (wheel has elkhide covering on ½ of wheel).
  • Fiberglass rudder.

FUEL: 18 gallons in aluminum tank below the quarter berth.

WATER: 50 gallons in poly tank under vee berth.

HOLDING: yes, poly tank with y-valve or dockside pumpout.

  • Single Universal 25 diesel, 25 hp, 3 cylinder, FWC.
  • Engine hours: 1289 hours as reported on hour meter.
  • Cruising speed: 5-6 knots @ 2500 RPM.
