Working closely with Volvo Penta, Coastal Craft has introduced yet another exciting new model powered with Volvo's IPS. The 400/IPS offers traditional boat building craft and industry leading technology. Fine handcrafted wood joinery provides warmth and comfort to the interior spaces, while behind the scenes innovative systems control operations and provide convenience and safety to the vessel’s occupants. Since 1996 Coastal Craft has been offering it's customers the latest in West Coast style and technology. The company produces a limited production of custom finished aluminum yachts directly for each customer. This one on one approach ensures that every customer is offered a high level of attention to detail in design and construction of their yacht. Design: Coastal Craft’s 400/IPS is a fast and stylish Coastal Cruiser. The Planing hull configuration with its modest Deadrise ensures a fast, dry and comfortable journey. The 400/IPS is capable of reaching speeds in excess of 36 knots while still offering on-plane speeds in the low teens. The low profile design and proper weight placement contributes greatly to the stability and correct trim experienced onboard this aluminum yacht. The feeling is solid and yet it offers a smooth and dry ride and offers excellent visibility through out the vessel.
