When Donzi designed the 35 ZR, its mission was clear: Offer the same speed, dynamic handling, precision balance, and exceptional rough-water ride as its World Champion ZR race boat. Employ a user-friendly layout, with emphasis on comfort, accessibility, usable space, and overall driver/passenger enjoyment. Utilize a true 35-foot platform that will offer greater comfort and better handling than smaller so-called "35-foot" competitive offerings. Create an aggressive new look – fluid yet masculine, sexy, and distinctly Donzi. Design and construct this new boat to withstand the rigors of an offshore environment.
Those goals have been not just achieved, but heralded with resounding clarity.Boating Magazine said, "In the worst conditions, the 35 ZR was at it's best. Acceleration wasn't just quick, it was sudden." Powerboat proclaimed, "They aced this design. Donzi's new 35 ZR delivers a memorable ride." When it comes to performance, the experts agree: Donzi's 35 ZR delivers.

Donzi worked extensively with many of its existing owners, prospective customers and major poker run organizations to make sure that beyond being fast, the new 35 ZR would be practical and comfortable. In the end a very accommodating layout was designed.
The sleek foredeck is easily accessed via large recessed steps molded into the port helm.
