| This steel sailing yacht is one of the very few steel trimarans that was designed by a prestigious and experienced yacht architect and built by a reputable Dutch shipyard.
She combines the generous and comfortable available space of multi-hull boat with the sailing characteristics of a mono-hull because ? in contrast to the catamaran ? she has a sleek centre hull with keel. The side hulls function only as stabilizers and play the decisive roll in the comfortable sea behaviour. Sea sickness is unheard of on her. If wanted, she can be safely moved with the smallest crew, or even solo. All manoeuvres, even heaving or dropping anchor, can be reliably performed from the cockpit or from the inside control room, even in bad weather.
Her small draught makes it possible to anchor even at anchoring grounds that are taboo for ships of comparable size because of their draughts.
She has had only one owner since her first launching. She has always been maintained by her own crew without regard for the costs and has always been maintained at the latest state of the technology. She has never been chartered and has only been used by the owner and his guests for a few weeks in the year, chiefly during the winter months in the Caribbean, her present location.
She can be used anywhere in the world. She has already completed three Atlantic crossings and, after a complete refit that included the tank capacity, is able ? if necessary ? to undertake an Atlantic crossing under engine.
During the complete refit in 2001/2000, the yacht received a completely new application of paint and varnish in seven coats for both the above and below water ship with the newest products from the manufacturer International, among other work that was done. Furthermore, the entire deck was given a new hand-laid teak deck, in the best craftsman quality (no plate deck), made of the finest woods, glued (and not screwed) to marine plywood on the steel.
In all good conscience, the current technical and optical condition of the yacht can be called new ? if not even better, because the owner has constantly optimized and improved the ship in recent years for comfortable sailing anywhere in the world. The future owner can be sure of acquiring a yacht with absolutely no visible or invisible backup of repairs. The future efforts will be limited purely to maintenance measures.
This vessel is ? absolutely unusual for multi-hull boats ? insured by prestigious insurance at the level of the current value; the insurance can be assumed upon request. |
