New Jersey-based Egg Harbor Yachts stands behind its company slogan: Designed by fishermen, for fishermen. The company is owned by Dr. Ira M. Trocki who, prior to purchasing the assets of Egg Harbor Yachts, had bought a 58-footer. He enjoyed fishing and cruising the boat so much he decided he wanted the company, too. Today, Egg Harbor has four models in its line, each tailored for the specific needs of serious offshore anglers. Three Sport Yacht models (50, 43 and 37) are convertible in style but each features a flybridge that is exceptionally roomy. Egg Harbor also builds the Predator 35, a smaller, lighter and more nimble model that’s built for faster runs offshore, although with accommodations for two to four people it can be used as an overnighter, too. All Egg Harbor boats are engineered with a robust fuel capacity to satisfy an angler’s need to travel long distances.
