New Jersey-based Egg Harbor Yachts stands behind its company slogan: Designed by fishermen, for fishermen. The company is owned by Dr. Ira M. Trocki who, prior to purchasing the assets of Egg Harbor Yachts, had bought a 58-footer. He enjoyed fishing and cruising the boat so much he decided he wanted the company, too. Today, Egg Harbor has four models in its line, each tailored for the specific needs of serious offshore anglers. Three Sport Yacht models (50, 43 and 37) are convertible in style but each features a flybridge that is exceptionally roomy. Egg Harbor also builds the Predator 35, a smaller, lighter and more nimble model that’s built for faster runs offshore, although with accommodations for two to four people it can be used as an overnighter, too. All Egg Harbor boats are engineered with a robust fuel capacity to satisfy an angler’s need to travel long distances.

An all around classic in anyone's book, the 37' Convertible is built with the Egg Harbor hallmark raised sheer line. She delivers a soft, dry ride with unparalleled performance. The 37' maneuvers with ease, tracks straight and turns tightly. Powered by a set of lightweight 3116 Cat, compact diesels, her performance remains unchallenged. The 37' offers unparalleled luxury and roominess with innovative interiors, contemporary styling and the spaciousness of a 40' topside and below.
The 37 Egg's deck layout is simple and uncluttered. There is a small molded-in bow pulpit forward for easy storage and handling of the anchor. The foredeck is wide, surrounded by a stainless steel rail for safety, and features a large centerline opening hatch for ventilation and access to the forward cabin. The cabin sides tapers nicely into the side decks which are unobstructed and wide enough to allow safe passage along the side of the cabin house. The bow rail and midship cleats are mounted atop the cap rail at the deck edge so passengers are less likely to stub their toes. There are sufficient and conveniently placed handrails along the cabin sides and in the cockpit for added safety.
The flybridge encompasses the entire top over the salon cabin and features a centerline helm, pedestal-mounted captain and mate seats and additional seating forward of the helm console. The helm features Raytheon electronics, Icom radios and a Robertson AP30 autopilot in the large overhead box and an ACR remote spotlight mounted on the hardtop. The flybridge accommodates four comfortably. The cockpit is oversized for this dual-purpose design and can easily accommodate several fishermen or the whole family for a cruise. Four LED Sea Blaze underwater transom lights were recently added as well. Plenty of tackle storage, transom livewell, oversized fishboxes and a cockpit freezer. The boat also has a cockpit fish finder so the crew can see what's going on up top.
The interior accommodations are likely to be the envy of many 40 footers in her class. In fact, the interior of the 37 is nearly identical to that of her larger sister the 41' Egg Harbor Sportfisherman. The galley up features a forward master stateroom with a double berth. There is a second stateroom aft of the master to starboard with upper and lower berths both aligned fore and aft. The head and shower are to port opposite the second stateroom. Further aft and up several steps, there is the main salon which has an L-shaped galley with plenty of storage to port and forward, a wrap-around couch to starboard aft, facing the tv. There has been an added fishfinder installed in the salon so you can comfortably scan for fish while relaxing inside cooling off or trying to stay warm on the cooler nights.
Two liferafts included with the sale.
