You do not need to be an Egghead, to own one. A loyal following of Egg Harbor owners, known as Eggheads, has not allowed this builder to fade away. Since 1946, very high quality fishing and cruising yachts have been built by Egg Harbor. The Egg Harbor 41 Convertible is one of the classics turned out of the New Jersey builder that holds an enduring legacy to this very day. Built to run offshore, she will give a good ride when things get snotty and pretty good economy at all times. Powered by the venerable Cat 3208, dependability is assured. Nearly bulletproof, there is not much to go wrong with these 375 HP monsters. Not putting out an overblown HP, but beefy like a diesel was meant to be. The fishability of these Eggs is legendary. The clear cockpit, good view from the bridge and full tower will make for productive fishing. Down below the accomodations are very comfortable and classicaly beautiful. Large Salon. If you have an appreciation for history, and most of all value, this Egg is for you. Show everyone how smart you are, become an Egghead. Plenty of storage, a refridgerated fish box, bait station with running water, bait freezer, tackle station and a large baitwell will add to the enjoyment and productivity. An opening gate leads to the large swim platform. An upholstered fighting chair will help land the big ones. The flybridge helm is situated in the center of the bridge for good visibility both for and aft. Full engine controls and guages and a full range of electronics are at your disposal. Two padded, adjustable helm chairs are aft and a large padded bench seat forward. There is plenty of stowage on the bridge. Over head electronics boxes protect the gear. The full isenglass enclosure will make the snotty days a bit more bearable. There is also a covered chart table within eyesight of the helm. Morse controls are found at each station. Some of the electronics have been around a while, but all are top quality. Electronics: -Raytheon C-120 -Raytheon Radar US-32 -TracDISvision 4 DV-3 TV System -Quantram gx3200S -Fuel Scans The tower has another control station with engine controls and guages. A bimini protects from sun and weather.As you enter the salon from the cockpit, the teak paneling and appointments are striking. Large windows allow plenty of light. A floral designed, L shaped couch is to starboard. A teak drop leaf table, with Egg Harbor logo, serves for dining or as a cofee table. A wet bar with ice maker, 16 inch television with Panasonic VCR, and a Kenwood stereo system are built in. Marine air, with digital controllers, serves the living spaces. A counter with stools overlooks the galley.>The galley is not overly large, but well equipped to prepare a full meal. A Galley Maid three burner stove, Magic Chef Microwave oven and Norcold refridgerator are the main appliances. You will find a large, dep stainless steel sink with garbage disposal. There is plenty of stowage and counter space. As you move forward, to starboard is the guest stateroom. Two single berths, bunk style. There is ample stowage and an oversized locker for your guests or crew.To port is the head, with large shower. A vanity, mirror, plenty of counterspace and basin with hot and cold running water should serve well.The master statroom is forward. A walk around queen berth, oversized hanging lockers and plenty of storage should meet all your needs. A Magnavox television serves this stateroom. Both berting areas are seved by Marine Air units. The twin 3208 Cats have been serviced regularly. These Cats produce 375 HP each and will move the boat at a 19kt cruise. While not overly powerful by todays standards, these 3208s are long lasting engines that will serve for many years to come. Dockside power is through two 30 amp, 125 volt inlets.
