The Fast Passage was designed by William Gardner and built by Philbrook's Shipyards Ltd. of Sidney, BC. Her large skeg rudder, set aft, provides optimum control when running or reaching. She was designed to offer the knowledgeable sailor optimum performance with all the amenties for pleasurable cruising and sailing.

Description

Tioga was built by Philbrooks in Canada in 1979 and designed by William Garden.  She has a fiberglass hull, superstructure and deck and has hardened glass portlights in white PVC frames.  She has a clipper bow, canoe stern, low freeboard, modified full-encapsulated lead keel and a skeg hung rudder.  She is remarkably maneuverable even under reduced sail.



Accommodations

She has a classic teak interior which features two cabins. She has approximately 6' 2" headroom.  Her salon is long and L-shaped with a settee on the port side with TV/video unit and opposite to starboard is a long settee.  Prisms over both settees add additional cabin light.  Her interior is heated by a Dickenson Arctic diesel heater as well as a buss heater.  An opening skylight and large opening port over the stove offer natural lighting and ventilation in the galley area.  The cabin has a double V-berth.  The aft stateroom has a double berth with full headroom and walk around floor space, bureau, medicine cabinet, shelved locker, double berth (over 7 feet long) and opening ports. Immediate access to sailing & engine instruments, propellor shaft and engine.
