Sails by Ratsey & Lapthorn. 3 double cabins, 4 additional berths, 2 heads and showers. Raymarine instruments & plotter. 72HP Ford 100G fuel 130G water. Large inventory of new equipment since circumnavigation. Major refit spring 2011. Lovely for anything from blue water cruising to classic racing including shorthanded sailing. |

Rig: bermudan rigged staysail schooner.
Designer: Eric M See and Morris Johnson of Fareham Boat Plans in 1962.
Builder: Finlay Nicol of Tayport, Scotland. The keel was laid in 1982 and she was launched in 1985.
Dimensions: LOA 57ft includes bowsprit. Hull length 50ft (15.4m) Waterline length 41ft (13.03m) Beam13ft (4m) Draught 6ft 6inches (2m)
Construction: Hull: Iroko strip planking on laminated iroko frames. Planks planed to fit, glued (caseadex/cascamite) and edge nailed with 3 inch copper nails. All screws are bronze. Sheathed in glass cloth with 5 coats of epoxy on hull and 2 coats of epoxy on the topsides. Deck: of half inch marine ply faced with half inch teak deck planking. Stem and stern posts: Douglas fir. Masts and spars: Sitka spruce Keel bolts (18-20) are 7/8inch galvanized mild steel
Engine: Ford 72HP 1011E with Bowman mariniser Water: connected 25 gallon stainless steel tanks plus a 30 gallon plastic ‘pillow’ tank giving total capacity of 130 gallons Fuel: 120 gallons in two balanced tanks. |
