The Flying Tiger 10 Meter was launched in 2006 and over 100 are now sailing worldwide. One design specification fleets are established in the US, Australia, Canada and China and soon in New Zealand. The FT 10 is a family club racer, with crew and sail limitations designed to keep the cost of campaigning at a reasonable level while being inexpensive to own and fun to sail. The vessel features a retractable keel, an easily removed , transom-hung rudder and a swept-spreader carbon rig. In the interior, the settee has 29" of headroom, a large V berth in the bow section and two quarter berths aft under the cockpit. There is also plenty of room for storage of essentials and the deck keeps the rain out. The cockpit is larger and deeper (17") than you'll normally find in a 32' boat and there's room for a crew of 4-5 to work the boat around a racecourse. With bigger gusts, you will record speeds of around 16 knots. The boat comes with sails and a small hp outboard engine.
