This unique, gaff-rigged schooner was originally built in 1948 as a commercial trading vessel with a solid wooden hull 30cms thick. She was rebuilt and converted in 1997-2000 by the well-known and authoritative boat-builder and author Kurt Eichler at a cost of around 2million Euros and using only the very highest quality materials and fittings.

At that time, she was valued at 1.4million Euros, but was then subject to a total overhaul and refit in 2009, since when she has only ever been used privately. A recent survey testifies her excellent condition throughout and many more details are available on request.

This vessel is not a Gullet, but a high quality and solidly built unique schooner in truly excellent condition with as new engines and suitable for cruising any oceans of the world. The owner is highly motivated to sell and a move to any location can be arranged.

2. HULL AND HULL EQUIPMENT

The hull is made of wood and was renovated as per Owner and documents provided in 1998 in Turkey. The condition of deck, sides, fore and after peaks, masts, spar, rigging and rigging winches, superstructure, forecastle, poop and wheel house visually found in order. Maintenance repair of hull small wooden parts is to be carried out. The vessel is fitted with two 400 kg anchors with chains and electric winches ?MUIR 5000?, mooring winches ?Quick?, mooring ropes and accessories, found satisfactory. The maintenance dry dock, as per Master, is planned in February, 2009.


3. MACHINERY

Engine type: Internal Combustion Marine Diesel M.A.N. D2566.
Number of sets: Two.
Total power output: 2 X 210hp.
Bilge system tested in operation and found satisfactory.
Engine room found dry and visually examined: on fuel pipes, pumps and tanks no any signs of leakage found, hot surfaces insulated, lighting in order.
Steering system KOBELT tested and found in order.
As per Master, the machinery and machinery systems are in order.

4. ELECTRICAL
The system is powered by one 25 kW DIFM and one 12 kW ONAN diesel generators. Engine starting batteries, emergency batteries and radio equipment batteries charged, dry and ventilated. Watertight penetrations found satisfactory. Diesel generators and batteries tested in operation and found in order.


5. FIRE FIGHTING

Automatic/manual centralised CO2 fire extinguishers 2x43,5 ltr and smoke detection fire alarm is fitted in Engine Room. 8 Portable dry powder fire extinguishers 3kg each and 7 dry powder fire extinguishers 1kg each are fitted around the vessel in accessible places. Equipment serviced on 17-01-2009. Fire pumps and fire houses tested in operation and found satisfactory.
