Better by Design

She has clean, undistorted lines, carrying her beam well aft for additional form stability, optimum performance and, importantly, volume for a really spacious interior. An upright stem and long waterline contribute to the performance profile. 

The standard keel and centreboard configuration gives the benefits of a good righting moment, with the convenience of board-up shoal draft and, with her generous sail plan, serious board-down upwind performance. Balanced twin rudder blades make the 58 light on the helm and a delight to steer.

Practical seamanlike features are a core value of Gunfleet’s philosophy and a special effort has been made to provide a large ergonomically designed cockpit with ‘proper’ helm stations without placing the helmsman in an exposed position or compromising below deck headroom or spaciousness.  

The Luxury Cruising Yacht

A careful look at the general arrangement plan will indicate just how the use of space throughout the yacht has been optimised.

Below deck, the accommodation features a spacious, airy saloon with an abundance of natural light made possible by the deck saloon configuration. Gunfleet’s Chairman Richard Matthews brought the term ‘Deck Saloon’ to the nautical vocabulary over 35 years ago and, although widely emulated, he has given Gunfleet unrivalled experience in the development of this concept.
