The New Gunfleet 74 Following in the wake of the success of the 43 and 58, Gunfleet has again teamed with designer Tony Castro to create their new flagship, the Gunfleet 74. Designed by Experience The yacht features an anchorage friendly, low centre of gravity, shoal draft bulb keel with a centreboard and twin rudders. A performance orientated sail plan is complemented by a choice of cutter gear or a solent jib with hydraulic furling on both headstays for ease of handling.
In recent years the principals at Gunfleet have owned and operated three live aboard yachts in the 60-80ft size range, which have each cruised extensively in waters from the Arctic to Auckland. This wealth of experience is being fully utilised in the development of this design. An all-round stunning cruising yacht The Gunfleet 74 promises a combination of a stunning profile, comfortable spacious accommodation above and below deck and a host of practical seamanlike features expected to set a new benchmark in this size range. Indeed this yacht offers a range of features normally associated with much larger vessels.
The general arrangement, joinery style and equipment will be configured to match each owner's priorities. An extensive library of concept and technical drawings are available for review with our sales staff.
In terms of both build quality and specification the Gunfleet 74 will be completed to a high standard and some special opportunities exist for early buyers.
The first yacht is expected to be afloat for the 2014 season.
