Hallberg-Rassy

Hallberg-Rassy

This Scandinavian yard has a long-standing reputation for building top-quality comfortable long-distance cruising yachts. The company as it is now known was formed when Christoph Rassy bought Harry Hallberg’s yard when the latter retired in 1972. The first model under the Hallberg-Rassy name was the Monson, a 31ft, long-keel sloop that sold more than 900 in eight years of production. The 352, one of the first boats of its size to combine an aft cabin with a walk-through from the main saloon, while retaining good sailing performance, sold more than 800 boats in a production run that spanned from 1979 to 1991. In all, the yard has now built almost 9,000 boats, roughly one third of those since the late 1980s, when German Frers’ Argentinian office was engaged to design all new models. There are two ranges in the current line-up: four aft cockpit yachts between 31 and 41 feet, plus six centre cockpit designs from 37 to 64 feet.

Description/Condition

ROSY JUNE II was supplied by these offices as a new yacht to her current owners. She has lived the life of a lovingly maintained family yacht based on the Hamble where work commitments meant she was a weekend and summer holiday Channel cruiser.

With the extra time retirement allows she has traveled a little further afield and spent the last two seasons in the Mediterranean.  She is now available for viewing in Mallorca.  Please call the office on +44 (0) 2380 454000 to make arrangements to view.
