Manufacturer Info

This Scandinavian yard has a long-standing reputation for building top-quality comfortable long-distance cruising yachts. The company as it is now known was formed when Christoph Rassy bought Harry Hallberg’s yard when the latter retired in 1972. The first model under the Hallberg-Rassy name was the Monson, a 31ft, long-keel sloop that sold more than 900 in eight years of production. The 352, one of the first boats of its size to combine an aft cabin with a walk-through from the main saloon, while retaining good sailing performance, sold more than 800 boats in a production run that spanned from 1979 to 1991. In all, the yard has now built almost 9,000 boats, roughly one third of those since the late 1980s, when German Frers’ Argentinian office was engaged to design all new models. There are two ranges in the current line-up: four aft cockpit yachts between 31 and 41 feet, plus six centre cockpit designs from 37 to 64 feet.

The HR49 was the model that boasted the Yard worldwide, together with the 42, both an Olle Enderlein design. Her uncluttered flush deck gives shelter to an ample and comfortable interior. The ketch version is more easily handled with a reduced crew. This unit, full of options, has also a rigid top cover for the cockpit that makes her very attractive on long distance cruises. She is kept in very well conditions. This boat is lying not far from the Vigo International Airport. We can meet you there, go to visit the boat and come back the same day.
