STORMBIRD of LORNE is the last HR49 built by Hallberg-Rassy. The HR49 is renowned for its comfort both at sea and in harbour. It has the expansive clear flush deck that is such a feature of the marque making deck work easy and providing fabulous living space in a warm climate.

Accommodation:

Starting from forward and aft of a large sealed anchor locker is the forecabin comprising of two single berths with vanity seat between them. Aft on the port side is a full height hanging locker, opposite and to starboard, cupboard and drawer storage. In this cabin there is plentiful changing area as well as eye level lockers on both sides and forward.

Moving aft and through a privacy door takes us to a corridor separated from the saloon by another door. To starboard is access to a second cabin comprising of two single under and over berths with a full height hanging locker forward and a half height locker aft.

To port opposite the twin cabin is a full sized head with separate shower stall, wash hand basin and electric heads serving both forward cabins.

Moving aft into the saloon we find a straight settee to port and an L-shaped settee to starboard. In the centre is a mahogany drop leaf dining table with bottle stowage inside. Outboard and above each settee is a pilot berth with a locker located at the forward end of each and additional storage behind the settees.

Aft of the dining area and to starboard is a full sized, u-shaped galley with work surfaces inboard, twin stainless steel sinks aft and refrigerator, stove and more work surfaces outboard. This area is provided with plenty of storage in the way of drawers and lockers.

Opposite and to port is a full sized forward facing chart table with navigator's seat and DC distribution panel just aft. Behind the navigator's seat is the top-loading freezer.

Moving aft towards the master stateroom we find more locker storage outboard as well as excellent access to the engine room inboard. The master stateroom comprises a large changing area, a full sized double berth to starboard and a passage making berth to port. Forward and to port in this area is a full height hanging locker and excellent drawer storage. Opposite and to starboard is the master bathroom with electric heads, washhand basin and separate shower stall.

The woodwork throughout is satin finished mahogany and the cabin soles are holly striped teak.  The interior was re-upholstered in 2010.
