Description/Condition

Designed by Germán Frers, the Hallberg-Rassy 53 combines modern styling and a performance hull but still retains that timeless elegance that is the hallmark of the range, while down below it provides the space and comfort of a luxury floating home.  The Hallberg-Rassy 53 is a comfortable and well built long distance cruiser capable of crossing oceans.




Accommodation:

Interior joinery in teak.  The floor is in teak with holly inlays, varnished and with carpet.  Ivory ceiling accentuated with fore and aft mahogany inlays.  Mosquito screens to all hatches.  Lee boards in aft cabin.

GALLEY:
To port in walkthrough with Corian worktops fitted with fiddles.  Deep, double sinks.  Two insulated cold boxes, one fridge, one freezer compartment.  Both compressors are water cooled.  Pressurised water, hot and cold.  Drawers, separate locker for china and glass, plus stowage for pots and pans etc. Window opens.  Gimballed Taylors 041 gas cooker with 2 burners, griddle, grill and oven.  Panasonic microwave.  

MAIN SALOON:
Headroom 2.04m.  L-shaped sofa on the starboard side and two armchairs on port side.  Console between armchairs.  Fixed table.  2 folding chairs for occasional use.  Stereo radio/CD player with speakers in saloon and in cockpit.

CHART TABLE:
Forward facing chart table with drawers.  Comfortable seat with stowage under and to the side.  Electric switch panel for DC and AC electrics.

FORWARD HEADS COMPARTMENT:
Heads compartment in white formica.  Separate shower stall.  Pump action marine toilet.  Stainless steel holding tank emptied by gravity or deck pump-out.  China wash basin with hot and cold water.  Worktop and cupboard.  Shower waste pump.  Window opens in the shower area.  Mirror.   Kenny compact washing machine.

FORWARD CABINS:
Two comfortable double cabins, one with V-berth, the other with bunk berths.  Both cabins have access to the forward toilet compartment and shower.  Two skylights, opening windows and hanging lockers.

AFT CABIN:
Single berth to port and double berth to starboard.  Both berths with lee boards.  Seat in between the berths.  Lockers and shelves under the side decks.  Mirror.  Headroom 1.97m.  Four windows three of which are opening.  One skylight.  Door to saloon, headroom in the walk-through 1.98m.

AFT HEADS COMPARTMENT:
Heads compartment in white formica.  Separate shower stall.  Pump action marine toilet.  China wash basin with hot and cold water.  Worktop and cupboard.  Shower waste pump.  Window opens in the shower area.  Mirror.
