Manufacturer Info

This Scandinavian yard has a long-standing reputation for building top-quality comfortable long-distance cruising yachts. The company as it is now known was formed when Christoph Rassy bought Harry Hallberg’s yard when the latter retired in 1972. The first model under the Hallberg-Rassy name was the Monson, a 31ft, long-keel sloop that sold more than 900 in eight years of production. The 352, one of the first boats of its size to combine an aft cabin with a walk-through from the main saloon, while retaining good sailing performance, sold more than 800 boats in a production run that spanned from 1979 to 1991. In all, the yard has now built almost 9,000 boats, roughly one third of those since the late 1980s, when German Frers’ Argentinian office was engaged to design all new models. There are two ranges in the current line-up: four aft cockpit yachts between 31 and 41 feet, plus six centre cockpit designs from 37 to 64 feet.

ALRUDA is a superbly equipped yacht, specified by an experienced yachtsman and maintained to a high standard by a professional team based in her home port on the west coast of Scotland.

The Hallberg-Rassy 54 is built as a "Blue Water" passage making yacht and ALRUDA is specified with the machinery and capacities for a circumnavigation but the beauty of this yacht is how she has kept her youth and good looks by remaining a family cruising yacht in more northern latitudes than most.
