One of the more recent names in the volume European boatbuilding world, Hanse was a relatively small company until it was bought by Michael Schmidt in the late 1990s. Subsequent rapid growth has seen it become one of the biggest forces in the market for mainstream cruising yachts, producing affordable boats with plenty of space relative to their overall length.
The company now produces boats from 32 to 63 feet and has built a reputation for style, value for money and bringing Germanic precision to high-volume boatbuilding. Hanse has also expanded outside of its core market through acquisition of smaller boatbuilders including Dehler and Moody, as well as the Fjord motor yacht brand.
HANSE 415 – SHE IS MORE THAN JUST A NEW BOAT When we launch a new Hanse model, it’s for a good reason. With the Hanse 415, we have a whole host of good reasons. The 415 is not an upgraded version of the 400 model, of which there are now 700 all over the world. The 415 is a completely new and independent concept for a state-of-the-art, fast-cruising yacht with many surprising details and functions. But of course, it is still a Hanse.
Exceptional sailing performance is typical of Hanse models. The 415 has a 87 m² sail area and its water line is 60 centimetres longer than that of its predecessor. The design of the hull, broadening towards the stern, creates great stability. Just as importantly, it creates a wide, spacious and safe cockpit for crew and family, and enables the integration of a sturdy cockpit table as well as comfortable access. The flat coachroof in typical Hanse design is not just elegant, but also safe and effortless to walk on.
With a choice of six interior combinations and a large selection of woods and fabrics, the Hanse 415 can be uniquely designed to your own individual taste and requirements. You can choose to have two or three cabins and the galley is extendable. The owner’s cabin offers plenty of storage space, a large double bed and the option of an en suite head. Many details, such as through-hull windows, flush portlights and the lighting and ventilation concept make this Hanse one of a kind.
