Description

MAJOR PRICE REDUCTION!  MOTIVATED SELLERS!

The  Hatteras 42'LRC has a displacement hull form with rounded bilges forward that gradually harden to form a shallow "V" at the transom. While all trawlers will roll in a beam sea, the true displacement hull design of the 42 LRC produces an easier, more comfortable motion than most of the more recent trawler-style boats with harder chines. The masters’ cabin is in the aft of the vessel.  It has single beds on port and starboard. In between the beds at the stern is a built-in dresser. On the starboard side just forward of the bed is a full marine head with plenty of sink and counter space along with a full walk-in shower. On the port side forward of the bed is a hanging storage area larger than you find in some houses. From the masters cabin you go up four steps to the main salon/galley. This puts the galley up where there is lots of light and visibility and the cook can participate in the family conversations. The galley is on the port side with a microwave, three burner stove, oven, refrigerator/freezer and stainless steel sink. The main salon is on the starboard side with sofa couch and a high/low table. Forward of that is the lower steering station. Just to the left of the steering station are three stairs leading down to the forward stateroom. As you go down these stairs, the electrical panels are on your left side. The forward stateroom has beds on port and starboard with a full marine head just to the aft on starboard. The head includes another walk-in shower. There is abundant storage and hanging space available. When you exit either if the sliding doors on the port or starboard sides of the main salon there is a side deck wide enough to be easy to use that leads fore and aft. A few steps toward the aft and up two steps you access the aft deck that is above the masters’ cabin. From the forward edge of this deck are steps leading to the fly bridge and the upper steering station.  A superb cruising yacht, with the twin Detroit 4-53N’s that will cruise the Hatteras 42 LRC at a steady 8 knots (6 gph) with a cruising range of over 1,000 miles. At a reduced 7 knot speed the range is 1,600 to 1800 miles depending on conditions. Only 29 of these yachts were built during her production run.
