Description/Condition

« AVENTURA » was originally built by the Danish Yacht yard, which was a part of the Royal Denship consortium. Launched in 2005, she was then immediately taken to Holland Jachtbouw to be revised and completed in the spring of 2006.
Ted Fontaine’s design brief was to create a world cruising yacht for a young family. Safety and comfort were the two most important qualities, but beauty and flexibility followed suit. The lifting centreboard gives access to shallow coastal waters and the push-button rig and fold-down stern ease the interface between wind and water. The flow of the yacht, with three entrance/exits, an on-deck salon and a pilothouse, plus 4 staterooms aft for owner and guests, offer the maximum living potential for a yacht that can be handled by only four crew.

CONSTRUCTION
Hull and deck are composite, a sandwich construction with PVC core and epoxy resin. Decks are overlaid with teak. The hull is painted blue and the superstructure is white.

MACHINERY
There are three entrances to the engine room: via the galley floor, the main salon floor or from the control room. The control room has a stand-up work-bench including a Bjorge Moland screen, generator monitoring systems, battery chargers, the fresh air make up unit, a transformer and the main electrical panel.

ACCOMMODATION

“AVENTURA”has a rich interior of teak punctuated with classic contrasting white. Soothing

marble and wood grace the bathrooms. Hatches have mosquito and blackout screens. Lighting

is either ambient or direct, as desired. As an alternative to air conditioning, fresh air can be

distributed throughout the yacht by the Make-Up Air system. Alternatively one can open the

deck hatches!

On deck she has a practical layout and easy access to the water thanks to the opening counter

stern and steps. She has a central station for the helm, with good visibility over the pilothouse

and easy conversation with the guest’s cockpit.

The pilothouse/deck salon provides ample light and panoramic views. To port a dining table

seats eight, to starboard is the interior helm station and another seating area, tucked in the aft

corner.
