Description/Condition

About   house barges:

For those not familiar with the option of a house barge, it   is not a houseboat. It has no motor or hull and cannot move itself. It is just like a regular house, only stronger and with full integrity (meaning water tight) but instead of a basement or foundation, it sits atop a hollow barge keeping it afloat on the water. It can be towed by a boat or can be removed from the water and set on the ground with the right machinery. These houses have many bonuses you do not get with regular property. They are durable to heavier weather. Owners do not pay property taxes, and always get more house for their money because they are not buying any land. With a barge there is less work than a boat. Unless moved frequently, the bottom does not need to be cleaned.  Day to day living and interaction with your home is the same as on land. The actual motion is minimal and balance isn't an issue in a common storm. This house, in particular, adapted perfectly and life within was unaffected during the harsh storm that came off of a recent hurricane.

If you love the sounds of the dock, this could be the perfect fit with no need to sacrifice on comfort or space!

Year  round full marina service staff.

The upstairs bathroom shower, with its privacy rain-glass smooth-swing door, is laid with all over no slip marble tile, granite trim and shelves. Before entering the shower, the outer wall made of tumble stone becomes the silhouette of a river bend as it flows throughout into the bathroom.

Upstairs is another large deck with matching wrap around   deep seating couch and chaise with weatherproof cushions. A TV mount swings from interior to exterior with one motion. Speaker system and satellite are already installed. Currently sectioned off as a guest bedroom, the lofted inside area can open up and also be used as an office, nursery, studio or otherwise.

Master bedroom occupies half the upstairs square footage, with two full closets and private balcony. All upstairs rooms have skylights.
