The Hunter 36 is a great performing yacht that effortlessly balances speed, comfort and easy handling.  Few builders have addressed the needs of their sailing clientelle better than Hunter has.  Hunters  are not only fun to sail , they are also built with innovation and are user friendly. This all translates into a yacht that the whole family can enjoy being a part of.  

This particular yacht has been meticulously cared  for and has enjoyed a rigid maintenance schedule.  One look at this boat is all it takes to understand the level of attention to detail that the owner exhibits.  Equipment lockers are labelled neatly and all gear is properly stowed at all times.  Bilges are clean, woodwork gleams and the decks shine.  Truly a pleasure to show.

Sail Area

Distinctive B&R Rig with swept back spreaders.  The arch with built in traveller means less clutter in the cockpit and and excellent purchase point on the boom and lines within easy reach of the helmsman.

This nimble 36 footer responds well even in light air. Speeds of 5.6 knots  upwind in variable 8knts of wind help to remind you that this boat was designed by renowned designer Glenn Henderson.

Borrowing heavily from the ideas of Hunter owners, dealers and prospective customers, the popular Hunter 36 represents the end collaboration of enthusiast feedback, brought to life by the hands and minds of Hunter engineers. The Hunter 36 features an extra wide beam spanning nearly the entire length of the boat to maximize both topside and interior accommodations. A large sail locker onboard the Hunter 36 easily stores gear, while the generously proportioned cockpit features a Lewmar steering system, fold-up tables and plenty of room for relaxation



Below decks the Hunter 36 you realize why this is such a popular yacht.  The interior is spacious and well designed.   Satin teak woodwork with louvered panels are well ventilated and good looking.

Cream colored leather upholstery with a high gloss teak dining table adds a level  of comfort and style and blends perfectly with the rich glow of the teak and holly cabin soles.

There are two comfortable staterooms, the aft with a large athwartship bed with headboard.  The forward stateroom bulkhead features a louvered opening door that can open up the entire space if desired.

The Navigation station is to port opposite the galley. This area is huge and is the size normally reserved for yachts much larger.  Plenty of room for charts and your navigation gear here.



The large L shaped galley is located at the foot of the companionway on the starboard side. Plenty of working counter space,  Good sized front loading refrigerator, Propane Stove with Oven, Larg stainless steel sink and lots of cupboard and food storage space.


The Hunter 36 offers two good sized staterooms. The aft stateroom features a large athwartship berth, hanging locker and hatch for ventilation.

The forward Vee berth stateroom also has its own hanging locker and storage. There is also a louvered opening door in the bulkhead which can be opened to open up the entire salon area.



The head if very good sized for a 36 footer and features a sink / vanity in one area with the head and shower in a separate enclosure.
