Voluminous interior as you would expect from a boat of this style. The fore peak is stripped out and is used for storing sails. There is a heads compartment to starboard fitted with a sea toilet and small drop down sink. As there is no holding tank fitted the sea toilet cannot be used on the lake. A chemical toilet is present for this purpose. The main saloon is fitted out with teak and holy laminate sole and mahogany stained woodwork panelling. Settee/berths port and starboard with stowage beneath and behind. galley to port with sink, ice box, storage cupboards and a Plastimo Neptune 2500 gas oven with 2-burner hob and grill. Opposite galley is a full sized chart table with switch panel, engine panel and navigation aids. Aft of the steep companionway steps are two double aft berths. These are open and have no doors. The upholstery was renewed in 2008 using microcare fabric. Any potential viewers should be aware that all the cushions have been removed from the boat to prevent damage in the Winter months.

The boat represents a lot of boat for not a lot of money. The reason for this is that she is of an age where potentially some money needs to be spent to maintain the water tight integrity of the fittings and the various windows and port lights. The keel stepped mast does allow ingress of rain water which is not uncommon with this method. The hull paintwork is not the best with repairs and damage not colour matched. If the boat is going to be club raced then this may not be important to potential buyers. The deck is painted and will therefore require frequent applications. As with boats of this style they do suffer from condensation and require regular air flow and circulation. If you would like a fast cruiser racer then this is the boat for you but if a comfortable cruiser with all the home comforts is required then please look elsewhere. |
