Island Packet

For more than 30 years, Island Packet has been building full-keel bluewater cruisers in a signature beige gel coat color that sets them apart in any anchorage. These boats have a reputation for strength with their solid glass hull construction, versatility of the cutter rig, and practicality due to little exterior teak and clear deck layouts. The line includes models from 36 to 48 feet with aft and center cockpit designs that enjoy a very loyal owner following. There is also a twin-cockpit motorsailer, the SP Cruiser, which has been touted for its livability. On the horizon is an upcoming model designed by Tim Jackett of Tartan Yachts fame and destined to be called the Blue Jacket 40.

This boat is in exceptional condition. It was stored in heated storage during winter lay-up from 2002 till 2005. Shrink wraped from 2005 to date, and has been professionally maintained . The spacious and very livable accommodations feature a beautiful varnished teak interior with furniture quality satin varnish and a teak and holly cabin floor. The floor plan has a very accommodating with a two head and two-stateroom layout (plus salon accommodations) Ultra Leather in the Main Salon and Owners Stateroom which is perfect for guests or family. Along with the great layout the boat has generous storage throughout all areas.

The 420 was designed by Island Packets Bob Johnson, N.A. as a performance cruising yacht. The yacht is a very capable offshore boat that is easily managed by a small crew. The boat features the Full Foil Keel, which provides a long list of advantages for the cruising sailor: moderate draft, increased stability, superior rudder and propeller protection and one piece construction for maximum strength. The cutter rig that is used on this boat has long been regarded as the most versatile and manageable for the cruising sailor. Then add in the three furling sails and electric primary winches, you have a boat that is very safe and very easy to sail.
