The Pequod

Price Reduced - Motivated Seller

“To the highly respected naval architect, the late James S. Krogen, the 38’ Shoal Draft Cutter was a labor of love. It was to be his home, his weekend getaway, and his ocean voyager.”

The Pequod is Hull #1, the very same vessel Jim Krogen lived and sailed on, and still has her maidenvoyage name. The current seller is only the second owner, having bought her directly from his friend and then neighbor, Jim.

Pequod is a superb cruiser or live-aboard. Her unique double-centerboard configuration makes for a draft of 6.6 ft with boards down and only 3.0 ft with boards up, allowing her to navigate shallow passages and anchorages. Her elegant flush deck makes for full-width tall headroom below and unencumbered foot-travel and work space above. The elegant bowsprit is a favorite on-deck perch. The spacious and comfortable cockpit accommodates 4-6 persons, and there are 6 sleeping berths below. Pequod is easily sailed by two adults, and in moderate winds can be sailed single-handedly.
