1990 Lazy Days 78 Custom Cruiser Houseboat This vessel is a 78' x 16' Lazy Days Custom Cruiser, one of the finest houseboats built to date.the hull is constructed of aluminum in a very shallow V" with a wide flared bow thatt keep her dry when underway. The stringers and floors/frames are most probably the heaviest and strongest in the industry with all seams, joints and reinforcements welded. The Lofrans windless anchor system is operated by remote control and removes the need for any stressful pulling up an anchor. Two anchors are included as well as sand anchors. She is made to travel well and has endured many short (week long) trips as well as a 4,000 mile trip to the headwaters of the Tennessee River in Knoxville with many stops along the way. At the bow there is a nice foredeck that can hold a variety of free standing furniture for leisurey whiling away the early morning or late afternoon, trying to remember whether it is sunrise or sunset. Built in seating with storage underneath in the nose, as well as a hatch opening on the starboard side for storage houses Inverter batteries and house batteries. Entry from the foredeck into the styish salon is by sliding glass door with the richly appointed helm on your left. At the Captain's controls are a full electronics package including radar, sonar, chart plotter and depth finder, as well as auto pilot. Nautiline Hydraulic rear thrusters are operable by a switch on the lower helm, as well as remote control. Additionally a fuel flow meter was installed for optimum MPG. Marine radios on both stations as well as portable marine radios for the tender, and walkie talkies for Captain - First Mate communication when docking, going through locks, etc. The walls are all elegant teak. Floors in the kitchen,(galley), hallway and bathrooms(heads) are teak parquet. Carpets are teal. Salon, kitchen, master bedroom and bathrooms have custom draperies with black out linings for optimum conservation / protection from heat and cold, as well as furniture protection from the sun. The salon/kitchen/dining room/bar are in the bow area. The kitchen has black appliances: smooth cooktop full size stove, microwave, and dishwasher, the counter tops are corian. There's a convenient and hidden trash drawer. Behind the dining table is a bar with mirror behind it, cabinets above and below for ample storage. Build in U-line ice maker for never ending ice. Moving from foredeck toward aft, next is a carpeted stairway to the top deck with windowed hatch that opens under the 50' party top for all weather protection. The port side stateroom has a queen-size bed with a great deal of storage space, which includes hanging lockers/closet, drawers and counter space. Matching 3/4 size front-loading Whirlpool washer and dryer are housed in a closet between the first and second stateroom. The first bathroom/head has a shower with regular shower head and hand-held, with folding doors, sink and Vacu-flush toilet. The middle stateroom has a single over queen fixed trundle beds with a hanging closed and six drawer storage. The rear stateroom is the master with queen size bed, desk/vanity, double hanging lockers/closets, and drawer storage with a television over the left closet. Master bath has shower with double shower heads, garden tub, vacuflush toilet/head and sink, as well as large linen closet over a hamper. Through the rear sliding door is the stern, an alternative gathering place, with 3 hatches housing two Mercury Bravo Engines and a 15 KW Westerbeke generator. The stern has a full enclosure with zip out windows, as well as a spiral staircase to reach the upper sundeck. Off the stern is a davit holding the ten foot Livingston tender with a 15 HP four stroke Mercury engine. Starboard side houses a shelved closet. Starting on the upper station |
