Description/Condition

HORIZON

HORIZON is an unusually original Luders motoryacht from 1930 with truly classic commuter-style lines.  The Luders name indicates the finest kind of a classic commuter and motor yacht pedigree in terms of both design and construction.  HORIZON’s owner has gone through her thoroughly, and has given her a comprehensive program of upgrading including refastening, canvas replacement, frame replacement, and many other items.

Although, because of her location, Cannell, Payne & Page has not inspected HORIZON, we do know her owner, having sold yachts for him before.  He is an engineer and professional restorer of antique marine engines with considerable experience restoring wooden yachts and a track record of high quality work.  At her asking price HORIZON represents an exceptionally good value for a rare Luders commuter style yacht believed to be in excellent condition.

Construction

Cedar planking over steambent oak frames. Structural keel, backbone, deadwood and floor timbers all white oak. Silicon bronze strapping. Dynel over cedar deck and cabi roof. Mahogany trunk cabins. Helm station with cable steering. HORIZON has a white hull, red boottop and bottom and Bristol Beige deck. She was rebuilt in 2003 by her owner bringing her to high standards.
