White GRP hull with blue style stripe and blue boot top.
White GRP coach roof with light grey moulded non slip decks.
The hull has been epoxy treated below the water line (2001).
Cast iron fin keel. Five out of ten keel bolts drawn in 2005 and found to be free from corrosion.
Tiller steering to transom hung, balanced spade rudder.
Self draining cockpit with teak grating.

Volvo Penta MD7B 17hp twin cylinder 1982.
The engine had a complete rebuild in 2002 including a new cylinder head and new exhaust system.
Engine serviced regularly.
Electric start.
Seawater cooled with Vetus anti-siphon trap and water pump with Speedseal cover.
Pump shaft seal renewed 2011.
Shaft drive to fixed 2 blade propeller, renewed 2008.
Cutlass bearing renewed 2011.
Single lever Morse engine controls.
Rev counter and engine hours meter.
Top speed 6 knots, cruising speed 5 knots and range 250 miles.

ELECTRICS
1 x 28Ah Red Flash start battery (2005),
2 x 105Ah domestic batteries (2004, 2012).
Driftgate X-Alt Skipper alternator charge controller,
Driftgate X-Split low loss charge splitter.
Sterling battery monitor.

WINCHES:
Lewmar 2 x 16ST self-tailing sheet winches,
1 x 6 winch on coach roof controlling: main halyard, 2x reefing lines, kicker, main out haul, topping lift, all via Spinlock clutches.
2 x 6 winches on mast controlling: genoa, storm jib and cruising chute via 2 x clutches.
Two winch handles.


Accommodation
Five berths in two cabins with approx 5 10 maximum headroom. Beige upholstery and carpet on marine ply sole boards. Green cushions and curtains.
Heads to port: Jabsco manually operated sea toilet, wash basin with cold water, mirror, storage cupboards and wet locker. Teak grating with drain into bilge.
Saloon: Ebersp cher D2 diesel fired 2kW hot air heating system. Sony stereo FMAMCD radioplayer with MP3 input. Settee berths to port and starboard with lee cloths and reading lights, storage under port berth. Lockers above and outboard of settee backs. Drop leaf, fiddled table with central storage for bottles etc.
Folding chart table forward of heads, with chart storage beneath and light above. Pencil and instrument holders.
Secure bookshelf, magazine rack, barometer and clock. Binocular and compass holders within easy reach of cockpit.
Quarter berth to starboard, with storage bins beneath and large cave locker above.
Forepeak: Vee berth with infill and storage under and cave lockers above. Hanging locker to port and small dresser to starboard.

GALLEY
Galley to starboard: Plastimo Neptune 2000 butane gas cooker with two burner hob, grill and oven. Gimballed with pan fiddles and gas cut-off tap. Stainless steel sink with Whale cold water pump. Top opening cool box with Waeco fridge unit. Storage for crockery, cutlery and pans. Kitchen roll holder.

The Moody 27 is a safe and capable passage maker as proven by her current owners. She has a very good inventory for a boat of her age and has been well maintained. Full ships papers are available and she is Part 1 British registered. Currently ashore at Gosport Boatyard, she is available for viewings 7 days a week
