Boat Description
If ever there were a yacht for all seasons, then surely the Morris 46 is it. She has quickly become the mainstay of our company, and for good reason. This is a big oceangoing sailboat. Big in beauty. Big in strength, reserve buoyancy and carrying capacity. Big in extra nooks for every conceivable system that allows you to go to sea and remain self-sufficient for long periods. She's also big in liveability yet easily managed. Most of our early 46 customers were families that included one seasoned sailor and a less experienced yet helpful hand. These Morris owners are enchanted by a boat that provides so much room and luxury within, and at the same time so delightfully simple to sail and maintain.

Every Morris yacht is customized to meet its owner's vision, but the sheer volume of space in a 46 opens up a wide range of custom options. Generators, air conditioning, water making, and a versatile mix of tankage for water, fuels, grey water and waste are typically fitted into our 46s. And there's plenty of room for sufficient battery power to drive a full complement of electric winches, state-of-the-art electronics, and additional labor-saving gear that makes shorthanding a 46-foot sailing yacht not only possible but easy. The Morris Keel, the placement of the engine low and amidships, and other design and engineering ideas incorporated in the 46 result in its exceptional stability -- stability you can actually feel. The human body is a sensitive instrument; tough conditions at sea make it even more so. Seasoned sailors and inexperienced crew alike can sense integrity in a boat. The Morris 46, perhaps more than any other modern ocean passagemaker, transmits a sense of its rock-solid strength and stability to even the least enthusiastic passenger.
