Designed as a fun trailed club racer the Thompson T6S0 is built in New Zealand to have excellent sailing characteristics, powerful upwind and reaching performance with large asymmetric spinnakers to take it down wind at speed. Low wetted surface and a high ballast ratio makes sure this design is capable of winning races in all wind and sea conditions. Performance is outstanding with downwind speeds in excess of 12 knots in as little as 15 knots of breeze. Surprisingly easy to control, the boat can be sailed with only three to four crew. It is a great fast, affordable, low maintenance boat.
