Description/Condition

Stunning high speed 50m from New Zealand Yachts

Engines
Total Power: 4180
Cruising Speed: 22
Max Speed: 28

Propulsion equipment
Propellers & Shafting
The installation consists of a flexible coupling, thrust bearing and tail shaft with propeller. A Torsional Vibration Analysis (TVA) is carried out to confirm the arrangement.
Shaft Couplings
The resiliently mounted Engine/gearboxes are isolated from the shafts via flexible couplings.
The couplings are ??CENTAX?? CX DP ELASTIC or equivalent.
Shafting
The propeller shafts (x 2) are machined from 316 grade stainless steel.
The shafts are running through water lubricated seals and supported by adequate structure complete with water lubricated rubber bearings.
An emergency shaft lock device is provided to ensure that in the event of engine shut down the gearbox may be protected from rotating through propeller feathering.
Propellers
Two five bladed propellers will be fitted. The design of the propellers will be a careful balance between the requirements of efficient propulsion and the quietest possible operation. The blades will be designed to prevent singing and pressure pulses against the hull.
The propellers will be made of nickel aluminium bronze and be keyed to their propeller shafts.
When viewing from astern the starboard propeller will turn clockwise and the port counter clockwise.
